Our attorneys

Mr. Costa's areas of practice are primarily corporate law and commercial real estate. He is a former chairman of the Banking, Commercial and Corporate Law Committee of the Suffolk County Bar Association, and is presently a member of the Business Law Committee of the New York State Bar, and Real Estate Committee of the Suffolk County Bar. He has served as a lecturer with the Suffolk Academy of Law on industrial development law, business torts litigation, environmental law, and the purchase and sale of commercial real estate, and as a guest lecturer for the Real Estate Institute at C.W. Post College and the Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsburg Law Center. He also has vast experience in real estate, industrial development and economic development law and practice, and public sector labor negotiations.

Mr. Costa received a full academic scholarship and graduated from Rutgers College (B.A., with distinction, (1973). He received his Juris Doctor degree from Hofstra University School of Law (1976) and in 1994 completed a program of instruction in negotiation from the Harvard Law School.

He is admitted to practice in the State of New York (1977), the United States District Court, Eastern and Southern Districts of New York (1977), the United States Court of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits, the Supreme Court of the United States (1980), the Supreme Court of the State of Florida (1981), and the United States Court of Military Appeals (1980). Mr. Costa is a member of the Suffolk County and New York State Bar Associations, the American Association of Trial Lawyers, and is a former officer of the Suffolk Academy of Law.


Saul Zabel is an employment and labor relations specialist, and regularly practices before federal and state administrative agencies, the National Labor Relations Board, federal and state courts, and state and federal human rights agencies. He advises and litigates on a variety of employee related laws including the National Labor Relations Act, Wage/Hour Laws, OSHA, COBRA, IRCA, Laws against Discrimination, ERISA, FMLA and ADA. He has negotiated collective bargaining and individual employment agreements throughout his career, advised employers in hundreds of grievance meetings and tried numerous arbitrations.

He is admitted to practice before the New York State Courts, United States District Courts and Courts of Appeal. He is a member of the New York State and Suffolk County Bar Associations.
